Ryuichi Sakamoto and Alva Noto were invited to perform for the opening of Yayoi Kusama's installation Dots Obsession—Alive, Seeking for Eternal Hope at Philip Johnson's Glass House.
The performance - later released as the live album GLASS - is an improvisational piece that includes as part of their performance, Sakamoto and Noto playing Johnson’s glass and steel home like an instrument, sweeping rubber mallets over its contact mic’d surfaces.
