| BTTB and Cinemage Release Dates Announced | ||
| BTTB and Cinemage to be Released Simultaneously on Sony
Classical. BTTB has already produced a #1 single that sold over 1 million copies in Japan alone, and has been named one of the 10 most significant releases of 1999 in Japan by Billboard. Now the rest of the world will get a chance to experience the magic of these 16 solo piano compositions. As described in the album's liner notes, "Cinemage. It is an intriguing syncretism and the ideal title for this album, a collection of pieces that Ryuichi Sakamoto composed mostly as aural accompaniment to visual events - but that exist on their own as pure music, evocative and compelling without any external program." Cinemage features a recently recorded version of "Forbidden Colours" with vocals by David Sylvian. BTTB and Cinemage hit stores in Europe in January 2000, and the US on February 8, 2000. |
