Chasm Available on iTunes August 10th | ||
Chasm will be available in the US exclusively through the iTunes Music Store on Tuesday, August 10th. The International version of Chasm features three previously unreleased tracks, including 17., which will only be available at iTunes. Stay tuned for International release information, and CD release dates. |

Chasm was the #1 most added release on CMJ's RPM (electronic music) Charts for the week of 7/5. The most played tracks for the week were War & Peace, Only Love Can Conquer Hate, World Citizen, Coro, and Seven Samurai. More radio and Chasm release info will be announced shortly! |
Sakamoto Joins Spooky for Transmetropolitan | ||
The spirit of global video and music explodes in this series of short sets known as Transmetropolitan curated by Paul D. Miller (a.k.a. DJ Spooky that Subliminal Kid) and featuring some of the world's most electrifying musicians, writers, and video artists including Ryuichi Sakamoto, Daniel Bernard Roumain, Beth Coleman, DJ Rekha, Eclectic Method, Vijay Iyer, Tanya Selvaratnam, Nitin Sawhney, Ibrahim Quraishi and Colson Whitehead. These artists and more re-draw the lines between music and video in this mixed media extravaganza presented in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on Wednesday, July 21st. Rodrigo Leào #1 in Portugal | ||
Congrats to Sony recording artist Rodrigo Leào whose new release Cinema debuted at #1 on the Portugal charts. Ryuichi recently met up with Rodrigo in an NYC studio to contribute to two tracks on Cinema. The CD's first single, Rosa, fetures Ryuichi on piano, and vocals by Rosa Passos. M2/S Named Best MBP Group | ||
On July 7th at Rio de Janeiro's Municipal Theater, M2/S won the prestigious TIM Award (a/k/a Brasilian Grammy) for best MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) Group! Jaques and Paula were on hand to accept the award on behalf of M2/S, and were overwhelmed by the wild applause from a full house of Brazil's most prominent artists.
